The brief for this assignment was to design the wall and floor furnishings for a kitchen, dining room and play area for a family who admired the Bauhaus movement. All plans, elevations and axonometric drawings are hand-drawn and rendered (using a fineliner and Promarkers).
The kitchen/dining room walls are painted in a Bauhaus inspired combination of primary colours, while the walls in the play area are a multi-coloured, sound-absorbing Baux Tile creation. The splashback for the kitchen was sourced using Studio Peascod's unusual verre eglomisé.
Interlocking wooden and tile parquet separate the kitchen and dining areas in an open-plan space, while the rubber tiles in the play area provide a soft landing in the play area which is blended with the parquet with some industrial poured concrete (there's also an inlaid trampoline floor section, because why not?)
