Project Inspiration

Paramount to interior design is getting the brief right- being able to listen to your client and understand their needs, interests and style preferences down to a tee.

For this brief, the client was requiring a refurbishment for her west-facing living room with a small window (not much natural light, so I kept the colour palette light and cheerful), and was an admirer of art and culture- Gustav Klimt and Art Nouveau in particular-, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and the Chelsea Hotel scene.

Even though this was just a theoretical design for a Postgraduate Diploma assignment (there were no actual intentions of redecorating), the client ended up liking it so much she ended up going with the scheme!
